Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Plant Project has a total capacity of over 200 MW, an area of about 6,600 hectares, located in Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu province, by Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Joint Stock Company – a member of the Kosy Group.

Phase 1 of the project, approved by the Prime Minister and added to the power plan VII, has a capacity of 40 MW, with a total investment of nearly VND 1,600 billion. Once completed and generated, the plant will provide an average wind power output of about 115 million kWh/year, contributing to ensuring energy security and promoting socio-economic development.

Attending the signing ceremony of important contracts of the project, there were leaders of Kosy Group, Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Joint Stock Company, Goldwind International Renewable Company, IPC Group Joint Stock Company and Dang Gia Construction and Mechanic Joint Stock Company.

Contract to supply Goldwind turbine worth nearly 700 billion VND

The contract to supply 9 complete turbines for the project worth nearly 700 billion VND was signed between Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Joint Stock Company and Goldwind International Renewable Company.

Before signing the contract, the parties signed a reservation agreement in early October 2020. Right after the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Joint Stock Company advanced 15% of the contract value and Goldwind Company started production.

Chairman of Kosy Group Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong signed a contract to supply turbines with Goldwind International Renewable Sales Director, Mr. Si Zhong Wu.

As planned, on May 20, 2021, Goldwind will deliver the first shipment including a full set of 4 turbines, June 15, 2021 is the second shipment with a full set of 5 turbines. At the Kosy Bac Lieu wind power project, Goldwind uses the latest 4.5 MW smart turbine line, suitable for the wind conditions in the region. The wing diameter is 155m long, the tower tower is 130m high to help increase power output.

IPC Group Joint Stock Company is the general contractor of the Kosy Bac Lieu wind power project

On the same day, the investor Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Joint Stock Company signed a general contractor contract for construction and installation of the project worth VND 850 billion with IPC Group Joint Stock Company.

Before that, right after the groundbreaking ceremony of the project on October 3, 2020, the two sides signed a principle contract for IPC Group Joint Stock Company to start construction of the road system in the project, station houses, press piles and construction of turbine foundations…

At present, the project has completed the site clearance and continues to execute the work items. It is expected that the project will complete the installation and power generation of 4 turbines before August 30, 2021 and the remaining 5 turbines before September 30, 2021. Kosy Bac Lieu wind power plant will be completed, accepted and put into use before October 30, 2021.

Within the framework of the signing ceremony, the investor – Kosy Bac Lieu Wind Power Joint Stock Company also witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation between the IPC general contractor and Dang Gia turbine installation and transport unit.
