Developed by Hydropower Construction Joint Stock Company – a member unit of Kosy Group, Nam Pac hydropower plant has total investment of VND 1,100 billion, with a total machine installation capacity of 34MW.

It is expected that after completing and going into operation in the fourth quarter of 2020, the Nam Pac Hydropower Plant will provide an average power output of about 150 million kWh for the national electricity system and will bring about revenue about 240 billion VND/year for the investor and contributing to local budget about 36 billion VND/year. The contractor group of the work construction is Song Da Corporation and contractor Thai An – a big construction entity specializing in construction of large hydropower projects coming from China.

After ground breaking ceremony, the Nam Pac Hydropower marked a long step forward in the development strategy of the Kosy Group when penetrating the field of clean energy. This is an important strategy, in order to affirm the prestige, ensure stable revenue and profit to create sustainable development for the Group in the long term.

Speaking on the occasion of the commencement of the Nam Pac hydropower plant, Dr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, Chairman of Kosy Group, said: “This is really a milestone for the Kosy Group because it shows our initial successes when stepping into a new field of hydropower and renewable energy …”. Not hiding the confidence of being together for a big ambition, he said that: “With steady revenue coming from the plant, we aim to balance the return of capital within six to eight years after the official electricity generation. “

Also at the event, Mr. Ho Van Dung – Chairman of Song Da Corporation – the general contractor for construction of Nam Pac hydropower plant confirmed commitment to fulfill the commitments in the contract signed between the contractor and the owner, timely make implementation, quality assurance, labor safety and especially the set schedule.

Commenting on this success of the Kosy Group, Nguyen Manh Hien, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Vietnam Clean Energy Association, said: “Nam Pac hydroelectric plant is not only meaningful to investors, it also stimulates local socio-economic development and contributes to stabilizing national energy … “

In addition, representatives of local authorities – Mr. Luu Van Cho – Chairman of the Nam Xe Commune People’s Committee also asked the Kosy Group to mobilize enough resources, machinery and equipment … to speed up the construction process, ensuring quality, proper design, safety in labor, to timely make completion and electricity generation in the national grid in the fourth quarter of 2020. Local departments, authorities and people will continue to accompany and facilitate the investors during the construction and operation of the plant.
